IN --- DEPENDANT..? really ??

Here.. we are agian celebrating Our Indepedance day with Pride with high spirits & overflowing emotions, njoyng with patriotic songs everywhere & watching 'deshbakhti'movies on television...Ahhh..Why on these days only for all of a sudden we realize that we are indian..Y not every day.
Why is it that we need a special day to show our loyalty or affection towards our nation? Why do we give importance to this one day? Are we indians for only one day of the year? I know many .
After 58 years, are we Indians really independent? NO man..not at all.... We are still seekng for complete freedom. Irrattional Laws are made by our elected representatives and thrown upon on us. And we call ourselves the largest democracy in the world. Most of our fundamental rights are denied to us.There is still huge line of difference between poor & rich, And we are expected to co-operate. India is said to be a secular state.SEcular...When ever I heard this wors it makes me laugh..It should be removed from our pledge in Text books.. But our secularism goes for a ride whenever there is communal tension in any part of our country..Still hatred prevails in the name of religion . I do not say that all indians are alike, but a handful of trouble-makers are enough to change the perception of a large majority of sensible minds. We can't even think independently! An indian should feel proud throughout the year. Just one day in a year is not enough....
Its pretty funny , specially in India , we feel ashame to speak our national Language...when in a friends circle or something.. someone speaking in hindi is treated as downmarket or from small town...ISnt this hypocracy...
Anyways..My point is thAT..we should be really feel proud of our motherland..thus an appeal to all indians. Please give a thought to the sacrifice of our countrymen, without which we would not have been able to celebrate our independence. Try to do whatever you can for the thousands of people who don't even know the meaning of independence and have to make ends meet for their basic existence.
