People will do what they actually want to do..

We all just had our dinner n sat together to play UNO(at which I m really pathetic), Just we started a discussion, with a vague topic that people will do what they want to do..
Jimmy & Vandy was on one side , put it as in pros side, I as usual was on the Con side, just bcoz I wanted the discussion to be interactive & interesting actually there were no pros & cons in the discussion, u will later know dat..

Nyways, Vandy said what ever we suffer, is just because of our deeds, which was well supported by Jimmy , to which she gave good examples from Geeta, Ramayan, Mahabharta etct etc …But For me , all these epics are mere piece of book, or better I will quote it as . a Manipulative piece of writings , which had dual rather multiple interpretations depending on the reader construing it…this was my part of opinion in th e discussion…

Further more, we have quite a bit on this, then we came to all babas pravaction n all that , those must b wiser men inducing good n rightfull deeds in the society but for me I will not belive it , if it is not proved, being an analyst that’s the specialty of us, to have a very good analytical judgment which are always backed by observations .. ok fine ….

Then, Jimmy had a strong point that our actions are backed by our reasons (some times priorities), I agreed on this but just tell me what made us realize that this reason is right or wrong.according to our convenience we decide our priorities bcoz we want to believe what ever we are doing is correct & we do it ,just because we want to do it, the decision to perform an action has been already taken in our mind, .this just reminded m of our psychological classes n a research paper..where we learnt a phenomenon called ‘thin-slicing": our ability to gauge what is really important from a very narrow period of experience. In other words, spontaneous decisions are often as good as—or even better than—carefully planned .

Then Comes are fourth partner ‘ Harry ‘ who was too tired , which is as right quoted , the ‘wiser’ one amongst all, I for a second expected to be on my side, then I thought lets make the discussion more interesting, just by negating whats her opinion is & secondly making my point more assertive….nyways …the discussion went on…she said that our decision is always depends on situation & priorities..to which she was partially right..
However , I would like to say that how an expert's ability to "thin slice" or take a decision can be corrupted by their likes and dislikes, prejudices and stereotypes (even unconscious ones), and how they can be overloaded by too much information. Two particular forms of unconscious discusses are Implicit Association Tests and psychological priming. It is s about our instinctive ability to mind read, which is how we can get to know what emotions a person is feeling just by looking at his or her face.
Just to conclude, as jimmy asserted to have a conclusion of every discussion, I will say that We do that decision making by "thin-slicing," using limited information to come to our conclusion. ..Thus, backed by this theorem (as an engineer I believe on theorems) I was just trying to say that intuitive judgment is developed by experience, training, and knowledge..The reasons , priority , ethiscs , parenting , .manners, learning (all what jimmy & vandy , Harry were stressing ) is altogether can be called as a judgmental factor that will push us to do an action, but we will do it because we want to believe the judmental factors correct, ..Nyways.. we were all tired of churning my minds & I was also tired of making them confused..periord…we went off to sleep…(with no offense to anyone)...

Because for me just one thing is imp rather than any statements above ,NATURE and every moment
For me death is reality so every action and wants will be situational not desire

    Thanks love you

  2. I think that true..as ppl apparently do things what they want to do n the way they want to do...they jst keep on reasoning it by their own reasoning that is convinient for them..but eventually they follow their own beliefs....

  3. I completely agree,,as we have well studied the phenomenon of thin slicing...as M & yummy was a research student for it ..we do take a decision in a blink, all are decisions are already taken in our sub consious mind...

thus, No offences..it was just a discussion..
